The Pillar of Fellowship with the Holy Spirit (Part 2)

“Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16 (KJV)

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.” 2 Corinthians 13:14 (KJV)

Fellowship with the Holy Spirit is the sustaining pillar of victorious Christian living. The Apostle Paul ended his letter to the Corinthians with a blessing that reveals a profound truth: believers are meant to live in communion with the Holy Spirit. The word communion means partnership, intimacy, participation, and shared life. This means the Holy Spirit is not distant, not abstract, not merely symbolic—He is relational. He desires daily interaction.

Many believers know about the Holy Spirit but do not cultivate fellowship with Him. Without fellowship, spiritual life becomes dry routine. With fellowship, Christianity becomes dynamic, guided, and powerful. The Holy Spirit: Comforts in seasons of pain, guides in moments of uncertainty, convicts in love when correction is needed, strengthens in weakness and reveals the heart of the Father. He is not only the Spirit of power; He is the Spirit of companionship.

You cannot fellowship with someone you ignore. The Holy Spirit dwells in you (1 Corinthians 6:19). Every day, consciously acknowledge His presence. Simple awareness changes everything. When you remember He is present: Your words become guarded, your decisions become prayerful and your reactions become measured. Awareness of the holy spirit will produce alignment.

Fellowship requires communication. Speak to Him. Not only during formal prayer—but throughout your day. “Holy Spirit, help me respond wisely. ” What would You have me say?” “Give me understanding. “He speaks through Scripture, inner promptings, peace, conviction, and spiritual impressions consistent with God’s Word.

Prayer of the Day: Holy Spirit, I desire deeper fellowship with You. Forgive me for moments when I have ignored Your voice or resisted Your leading. Increase my sensitivity to Your presence. Teach me to walk in step with You daily. Help me to obey quickly and surrender fully. Let my life reflect intimacy with You. Shape my thoughts, purify my motives, and align my will with the father’s. May Your communion be my daily strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
