Let Go and Let God

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)

The Scripture teaches us something radically different: Trust with all your heart. Not to trust your instincts, rely on your education, and intellect. Not half-hearted. Not just on Sundays. Total trust and surrender even when it doesn’t make sense. Don’t lean on your own understanding. That’s not a call to ignorance—it’s a call to trust in something greater than us: God’s wisdom, will, and ways. Our knowledge is limited. We see only a portion of the picture, while God sees the whole. What may look like a failure to us might be a setup for a greater victory in God’s plan.

Isaiah 55:8-9 – “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”

We often base decisions on how we feel—fear, anger, pride. But feelings change. God’s Word remains. Jeremiah 17:9 – “The heart is deceitful above all things…” Acknowledge Him in All Your Ways. Invite God into every area—your job, relationships, health. When He is Lord overall, He will direct your path.

Psalm 37:5 – “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”

When we trust God we will experience, 1. Peace in Uncertainty – Because we know Who holds the future. 2. Divine Direction – God makes crooked paths straight. 3. Supernatural Provision – What we cannot do, He can. Proverbs 16:9 – “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.”

You may be facing decisions today where logic and faith seem to collide. God is not asking you to shut off your brain—He’s asking you to submit your understanding to His authority. Let go of the need to control everything. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Don’t lean on what makes sense to you—lean on the One who made you. He’s faithful. He’s good. And He will direct your path. Is there something you’re holding on to today—something you’re trying to figure out on your own? Surrender it. Pray, “Lord, not my understanding, but Your will be done.”

Prayer of the Day: Father in the name of Jesus, I trust you for directing my paths, I will trust you with all of my heart. As I submit to your leading, I thank you for bringing to manifestation every of your promise in my life and family. Amen.
