For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. ROMANS 8:6(NKJV)

Spiritual perceptions are not residence in the psychic realm. The Holy Spirit abiding in our spirits communicate to us through our spirits—not through our minds. We need to understand how to listen to our spirits because our spirit knows things our head doesn’t know. The reason that we as Spirit-filled believers continually make mistakes, and fail is because our spirits, which should guide us, are kept locked away. Knowledge, or intellect, has taken the throne.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. ROMANS 8:14(NKJV)

The person who listens to his spirit is the person who climbs to the top! The person who keeps his spirit shut away and never listens to it becomes crippled in life. The Lord enlightens us and guides us through our spirits. If this is true—and I know it is—then we need to become more spirit-conscious. We need to become more conscious of the fact that we are spirit beings, and not just mental or physical beings. We need to train our spirits so they will become safer and safer guides.
