“Present your bodies a living sacrifice… this is your reasonable service.” Romans 12:1-2

Giving your life to Jesus means receiving His Life, is totally different from living a surrendered life. You can give your life to Jesus and not live a surrendered life. Surrender means doing everything God tells you. You cannot surrender by willpower alone. You cannot surrender without the help of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one who gives us the desire to obey, the strength to crucify the flesh, the grace to stay yielded and the courage to trust God fully. The most dangerous person to the kingdom of darkness is the one who no longer negotiates obedience. God’s best is released at the point of surrender. Anything God cannot touch in your life has become your god. You have been asking God to move, but God has been asking you to surrender.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. MATTHEW 11:28(NKJV)

Living a Surrendered Life means casting all of your cares upon him (total Dependence, Devotion and Trust). We live in an arrogant world where there is over dependence on intellect, science, skill though these are factors that contribute to a successful life but there are times that you can have the right boat, the right net, as a professional fisherman, in the right location and at the right time and yet you cannot catch fish. God’s love is unconditional but working in the reality of His promises is highly conditional. No amount of prayer, confession, spiritual activity will substitute the power of surrendering all to Him. Hearing what God has said does not mean that we are surrendered to Him, verbalizing and confessing what God said does not mean we have surrendered to Him, but is doing what God has said is what shows that we are surrendered to Him
