“Present your bodies a living sacrifice… this is your reasonable service.” Romans 12:1-2

Surrender isn’t just behavior modification. It is giving God control of the steering wheel of your life. Surrender unlocks God’s power and purpose. Submission to God is a weapon. When God is fully in charge, the devil loses his hold. God can’t fill what is already full of self. Until we empty our will He will not fill us with His glory. Surrender Requires Trust.  Trust says: “Even when I don’t see the full picture, I know the One holding the map.” Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall [a]direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6(NKJV)

You can’t surrender to someone you don’t trust. The deeper your trust in God, the deeper your surrender. Surrender means God’s will comes before personal preference, you obey even when you don’t understand, you pursue purity and holiness. Surrender is daily: daily prayer, daily repentance, daily obedience and daily submission to the Word. The real challenge is allowing Him to be Lord. He leads and we follow. A surrendered life is the life God blesses, the life that carries power, peace, and purpose. Would you surrender all to Him today?
