Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.” 2 Corinthians 9:10 (NIV)
Everything in the Kingdom of God begins as a seed. The seed is a powerful, divine principle woven into creation itself. Whether it’s a seed of faith, love, finances, time, or the Word of God—what we sow in faith, God increases. The miracle is not in the harvest—it’s in the seed. God multiplies what we faithfully sow. A farmer doesn’t eat all the grain. He reserves some to sow, trusting in the process of growth. Likewise, God gives us blessings not just to consume but to invest in His Kingdom. God Is the Source of the Seed. God is not asking us to give what we don’t have—He provides the seed. The seed may look small, but it has divine potential when used for God’s purposes.
“Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” John 12:24 (NIV)
A seed only brings increase when it is released—when it’s planted. Holding on to the seed out of fear or selfishness stops the cycle of increase. What seed has God given you to sow—time, encouragement, money, service, forgiveness? Sow it. The seed must be sown if we really desire increase. A single apple seed can grow a tree that produces hundreds of apples, each with more seeds. One seed, countless fruit. Sowing in faith brings more than what was planted: not just a return, but an overflow. God doesn’t add—He multiplies. Your harvest is tied to your faithfulness in sowing the seed
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over…” Scripture: Luke 6:38 (NIV)
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:7-9(NKJV)
There is a season of waiting, but don’t give up. The harvest is determined not just by the seed, but by consistency and faith.
Here is our call-to-action: What kind of harvest do you want to see in your life, family, business, career, ministry, or church? Begin by identifying the seed God has given you and sow it with expectation. The seed you sow today determines the increase you walk in tomorrow.
Prayer of the Day: Father in the name of Jesus, thank You for supplying seed to the sower. Help me to recognize the seed You’ve placed in our hands and give me the faith to sow it. I trust You for increase, for multiplication, and for a harvest that will glorify Your name.Amen.”
