Acknowledge Him

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” – Proverbs 3:6 (NKJV)

The Bible teaches us that true wisdom begins not with self, but with God. Proverbs 3:6 gives us a simple but profound command: “In all your ways acknowledge Him.” Acknowledging God means living with the awareness that He is always with us. Psalm 139:7 – “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?” It’s easy to invite God into our spiritual lives—church, prayer, worship—but what about our careers, relationships, finances, and decisions? Colossians 3:17 – “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus. Acknowledging God means not just asking Him to bless our plans but surrendering to His plans first. Matthew 6:10 – “Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” God sees what we cannot. He knows the future, the hidden motives of hearts, and the outcomes of our choices. Isaiah 55:8-9 – “For My thoughts are not your thoughts…”

Acknowledging Him is not a transaction—it’s communion. God desires fellowship with us daily. John 15:5 – “Apart from Me, you can do nothing.” The second part of Proverbs 3:6 is a promise: “…and He shall direct your paths. “When we trust and acknowledge Him, He leads us with clarity, peace, and purpose. Acknowledge Him Practically by 1. Daily Prayer and Dependence – Start each day by surrendering your plans to God. Invite Him into your day. 2. Using Scripture as Guidance – God’s Word reveals His character and His will. Acknowledging Him means aligning with His Word. 3. By Listening to the Holy Spirit – The Spirit prompts, warns, and leads us. Acknowledge those inner nudges as divine direction. 4. Giving Him Glory in Success – When we succeed, we don’t take credit. We acknowledge that it was by His strength. 5. Trusting Him in Uncertainty – Even when the path is unclear, we acknowledge that He is still in control.

In every moment, in every decision, in every season—acknowledge Him. Not just with your lips, but with your heart, your actions, your attitude, and your trust. When you do, God doesn’t just walk with you—He leads you. He makes the crooked path straight, the rough road smooth, and the dark way light. Today, before you make a decision, speak a word, or take a step—pause and acknowledge Him. Ask: “God, what do You want me to do here? “And then trust that He will direct your path.

Prayer of the Day: Father in the Name of Jesus, I acknowledge you in all of my ways thoughts and actions, I ask that you direct all of my paths and bring me into the promises and blessings you have prepared for me. Amen
