Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature…. 2 PETER 1:4(KJV)
We are born of God. Then we feed on the Word of God. By so doing we are partakers of the divine nature, God’s nature. If we have the divine nature in us, our spirit will not tell us to do something wrong. Whatever your spirit tells you will be right.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 JOHN 3:9(KJV)
Spiritually we are born of God and partake of His nature. God’s nature is not the nature to do wrong. God’s seed is in my spirit, not in my flesh. If we continue to allow our senses to dominate us, we will never work by faith and we will continue to miss out in most of the things God has in stock for us. If we continue to let our natural mind dominate us, and do not get our mind renewed with the Word of God, we will continue to miss out on the ways to walk in the promises of God in experience. Paul was speaking to the church at Corinth, he said “
And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. 2 I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; 3 for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and [a]behaving like mere men? 1 CORINTHIANS 3:1-3(NKJV)
“For you are yet carnal…,” he said (v. 3), “For you are yet body-ruled. “Then he told them, “… and behaving like mere men” (v. 3), “You Walk as mere men.” What did he mean? He meant they were walking and doing things just like unsaved men do. You are a partaker of His divine nature, allow the nature of Christ to take preeminence in you by feeding on the truth in God’s Word.
Prayer of the Day: Father in the name of Jesus, I declare that I am a partaker of your divine nature, and I will allow the nature of Christ to dominate in every area of my life.
